Camping & Placement
There is no separate parking lot at this event. You should park your vehicle where you camp. Do not park on sprinklers, in taped off areas, and on roads. If you are with a theme camp, check with your theme camp lead(s) for more information on parking. Theme camp areas are meant to have a minimal amount of personal vehicles. Parking is available along the dirt road adjacent to the theme camp area (aka esplanade) or in overflow parking near gate.
We do not sell or require parking or vehicle passes at SN-RG.
RVs are welcome at SN-RG. There are no RV hookups or services at the event. RVs make a great sound barrier and we suggest strategically placing RVs to reduce sound bleed. This is especially recommended for theme camps.
Entry & Exodus
General Admission: No earlier than 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 5th.
Early Entry: No earlier than 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 4th. Early entry opening time is subject to change based on event circumstances. The gate procedure is still applicable for early arrivals. You’ll need to have a valid ticket, your early entry ticket, and photo ID to be assigned a wristband.
During the event, gates are closed overnight between 11:00 PM and 10:00 AM the next day. All participants must be packed out and off property on Sunday, October 8th by 3:00 PM.
SNRG has a zero tolerance policy against people attempting to sneak in to the event. Non-ticketed participants are not covered by event insurance and put the future of this and similar events in jeopardy. Attendees will be easily identified by RFID wristband.

- ANY PERSON WHO HAS BEEN FOUND UN-TICKETED AT A PREVIOUS EVENT IS ON A LIST; WE WILL BE WATCHING FOR YOU.
Yes. Re-entry is available during gate operating hours. If you need to leave for an emergency after hours, please let a ranger or SN-RG staff member know.
SN-RG recommends Space Station RV Park in Beatty, NV for all your RV service needs.
Notify a SNRG ranger IMMEDIATELY if you see any damage to ranch property
This is a leave-no-trace event. You are responsible for all your trash. Pack it in, Pack it out means that whatever you bring with you, you bring it back with you when you leave. In other words, leave the ranch cleaner when you leave than when you arrived.
Yes. There are free hippie showers on the grass available 24/7. Feel free to bring you own shower as well.
There are NO RV hookups on site. This is primitive camping. There is no waste dumping on site. If you need to pump out, you can visit the Space Station RV Park in Beatty, NV.
Flying camera gadgets are not permitted
Check out the Packing List page for recommended items. Remember, this is not an all-inclusive list.
The speed limit at SN-RG is 5 MPH unless otherwise posted. This is especially important on gate road. Please don’t squish the toads.
In open camping, no loud sounds or music should be played between 12:00AM and 11:00 AM. In quiet camping, no loud sound or music should be played at all. Please work with your neighbors to ensure your sound is at an appropriate level. You may be approached by SN-RG staff or rangers and asked to turn sound down or completely off. Failure to comply may result in ejection from the event.
Mutant vehicles are non-human powered vehicles that have been sufficiently modified to be considered an art piece. E-bikes are not considered mutant vehicles and are allowed at SN-RG. All mutant vehicles should be insured. Operators must follow the 5 MPH rule. Additionally, vehicles should not have any leaks or emissions that would otherwise violate Leave No Trace. You do not need to register your vehicle with SN-RG. Please refrain from traveling directly on the pasture parallel to the roads (aka down “esplanade” where all the theme camps are). Crossing the pasture on the north-east side under the bridge leading to open camping is acceptable if your vehicle is below the bridge height.
Participants who experience or witness non-consensual incidents should contact a ranger or medical staff, should they need them. This is a relatively small event, so if you can’t find those resources in your immediate area, ask the nearest theme camp for help to locate or radio event staff.
In a non-emergency, and as proactive preventative behavior, participants should help self-manage things to create a safe space for one another.
We ask participants to follow the same guidelines as defined by Burning Man:
When in doubt, ask for consent!
Fire is allowed and permits are not required. Please follow all fire safety rules. Fires should be monitored, off the ground, and contained. There should be a fire extinguisher ready and available near by. Have a fire safety plan before the burn begins. If you have any further questions about fire, please email firstname.lastname@example.org .
If it’s illegal you can’t and shouldn’t do it. All real world laws are applicable at SNRG including gravity ;).
Government issued photo ID is required to verify your age. If you are under 21 then you will be given a different colored wristband. Your ID can also be used to verify your ticket if you have forgotten or lost it.
One of the principles of Burning Man is radical inclusion. However, at SNRG there are loud noises and music, pyrotechnics, moving vehicles, natural predators, and areas of the map where a pet may be hurt. There are no pets allowed at this event, with the exception of licensed service animals.
One of the principles of Burning Man is radical inclusion. SNRG will be admitting children, but only with the immediate accompaniment/supervision of a parent or guardian. If you are bringing your children, you should practice active parenting and watch your children and keep them safe and entertained. This is an all ages event but this is a rugged terrain and you should watch out for your child’s well being and safety.
If you are interested in creating a child-friendly area and/or camping with other parents to create child-friendly content and activities, feel free to do so. If you need help from SNRG, please contact us.
Children 11 years old and under do not require a ticket. Any person 12 years old and over DOES require a ticket. Anyone under the age of 18 will need to be checked in with a parent or legal guardian before admittance to the event.
Handheld Lasers are not allowed at SNRG.
No. Small inflatables may be permitted, but the ponds are not big enough to accommodate larger watercraft. If it wasn’t made for your average swimming pool, please don’t bring it.
Don’t stress. Just make sure you have your photo id and as long as the tickets were purchased in your name then our master list can be used to verify you at the gate. If somebody else bought your ticket, you will need to make arrangements with them prior to showing up at the gate. We can only verify tickets in your name.
