Spicer Ranch, Beatty, NV is where our little temporary city will spring to life. This is not a party. This is a community. It is a cultural movement based on 10 practical principles. We don’t book acts or provide entertainment. What happens here is up to you! There is no corporate sponsorship. You are entering a “decommodified” space that values who you are, not what you have. You are expected to collaborate, be inclusive, creative, connective, and clean up after yourself.
We are guests of a private working cattle ranch. Please respect the ranch! The ranch features art pieces, natural springs, and bike trails. It also features many natural critters at the ranch such as snakes, spiders, and other desert creatures. The ranch is also a sanctuary for the protected Armagosa Toad. Don’t lick the toads!
The ranch features a grassy meadow where most theme camps will be placed. As such, it is often cooler than the surrounding desert areas. The 2023 event takes place in early October. Average temperatures will be around 80 in the day and 55 at night. This is perfect weather, but make sure you have something warm for the cooler desert nights. Click here for more weather details. Stay hydrated!! There are cold showers available during the event if you need to cool off during the day!
